How Aftercam works
From setup in the app to the reveal, the whole flow takes less time than finding a group photo on your phone.
Create the camera
In the app, choose how many guests the event covers, the shots each guest gets, a film look, and when the roll reveals. Then share the event as a QR code or link.

Guests shoot
iPhone guests open the invitation, add a name, and start shooting in an App Clip. There is no account and nothing to install. Guests who already have the app join from their library.
- The App Clip runs on any iPhone with iOS 18 or later; Android and desktop guests get the gallery after the reveal
- Each shot is saved on the phone first, then uploaded with retries if the connection drops
- Guests cannot browse their own or anyone else's shots before the reveal
- The roll closes automatically 60 minutes after your event ends, or when it reveals if that is sooner
Review and reveal
After the roll closes, review it privately in the app. Everything is kept by default, so you only remove what should not make the cut. Then the gallery reveals on schedule.

- After the reveal, guests save and share photos or watch the memory reel, in the app or in any browser
Private until it reveals
Nobody can browse the roll before the gallery reveals. Host review stays private, and gallery sharing follows the access setting you chose.
One invitation, any way you like
Print the event QR code on a table card, drop the link in a group chat, or show it on a screen. It is your invitation, not the app download.
Every angle, not just yours
The best photos from any night are usually on someone else's phone. Aftercam collects them into one roll without anyone thinking about it.
Who can join
- Hosts
- Create and run the event from the Aftercam app for iPhone: capacity, film look, invitations, review and reveal.
- iPhone guests
- Shoot in the App Clip without installing anything, or in the app if they already have it. A name is all it asks for.
- Android and desktop guests
- Open the revealed gallery in any browser: look, download, watch the reel. Android app is coming soon.
